“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” – Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)

Today’s Scripture Lesson:

Planning is an essential part of life. Whether we’re making career decisions, preparing for family goals, or organizing daily tasks, we often feel the weight of ensuring everything turns out right. Proverbs 16:3 offers a reassuring truth—when we commit our plans to God, He will guide and establish them.

To “commit” means to entrust fully. It’s more than just asking God to bless what we’ve already decided to do; it’s surrendering our plans to His will and allowing Him to direct our steps. When we bring our plans before God in prayer, seeking His wisdom and direction, we can move forward with confidence that He is in control.

Imagine submitting blueprints to an architect for approval. The architect carefully reviews them, ensuring they align with the overall design. Similarly, God shapes and refines our plans, aligning them with His greater purpose for our lives.

This verse also reminds us of God’s faithfulness. When we trust Him with our work, dreams, and goals, He provides clarity, opens doors, and makes our paths straight. Even if things don’t unfold as we expect, we can rest in knowing that God’s plans are always better than our own.

How to Apply This Scripture Passage to Your Life:

  1. Pray Over Your Plans: Before starting any project or making big decisions, ask God for wisdom and guidance.
  2. Surrender Control: Release your desires and outcomes to God, trusting that He knows what’s best.
  3. Take Steps in Faith: Move forward with confidence, knowing God will establish and bless the plans you’ve entrusted to Him.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I commit my plans and desires to You today. Guide me as I make decisions, and help me to trust that Your will is better than my own. Establish my steps and give me the wisdom to follow Your path. Thank You for Your faithfulness and for directing my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
