Here I Am, Send Me

Here I Am, Send Me

Isaiah 6:8 (NIV) "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’"

Today’s Scripture Lesson

Isaiah's response to God's call is one of the most powerful declarations of availability in the Bible. After encountering the holiness and glory of God, Isaiah doesn’t ask for details or guarantees. He simply offers himself.

God still asks this question today. He is looking for people who are willing to go—to serve, to love, to speak, and to stand for Him. The world doesn’t need more spectators; it needs willing hearts who will say, "Send me."

You may not feel qualified, but God equips those He calls. What He wants is your availability more than your ability. When you say yes, He takes care of the rest.

How to Apply This Scripture Passage to Your Life

  1. Respond to God’s Promptings: Don’t wait for perfect conditions to obey. Say yes to His leading.
  2. Trust Him to Equip You: Believe that God will give you the strength and words you need.
  3. Live Sent Every Day: View your daily life as a mission field. Let God use you right where you are.

A Prayer for Today

Lord, I hear Your voice calling. I may not have all the answers, but I offer You my heart. Here I am—send me. Use me to share Your love and truth wherever You lead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
