“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” – Hebrews 13:8 (NIV)

Today’s Scripture Lesson

In a world that is constantly changing, it is comforting to know that Jesus Christ never changes. People change, circumstances shift, and life can be uncertain, but our Savior remains the same—yesterday, today, and forever.

The same Jesus who walked on water, healed the sick, and calmed the storm is the same Jesus who reigns today. His power, His love, and His faithfulness are unwavering. We don’t have to wonder if He will still love us tomorrow or if His promises will ever fail. He is constant, reliable, and completely trustworthy.

Because Jesus never changes, neither does His Word. What He promised in the past still holds true today. When we face trials, we can stand firm knowing that the same God who carried His people through difficult times in Scripture will also carry us through our challenges.

This truth is especially important in times of uncertainty. When we feel overwhelmed by life’s struggles, we can find peace in knowing that Jesus is our steady foundation. No matter what happens in the world around us, His love and grace remain unchanged.

How to Apply This Scripture Passage to Your Life

  1. Trust in His Unchanging Character: When you face uncertainty, remind yourself that Jesus is always faithful and always with you.
  2. Hold Onto His Promises: Meditate on God’s Word, knowing that His truth never changes. What He has promised, He will fulfill.
  3. Find Stability in Christ: Instead of relying on temporary things for security, anchor your faith in Jesus, who remains the same forever.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank You for being constant in a world that is always changing. I take comfort in knowing that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Help me to trust in Your unchanging love, to stand firm on Your promises, and to find peace in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
